John Pallis, age 75, of Dover, NJ, passed away Tuesday, November 8, 2011, after a long illness.
Born in Analipsis, Greece, John came to the United States in 1951 and has lived in Dover for
the last 38 years. He attended Dover High School and proudly served in the United States
Army from 1956 to 1958. John was the co-owner of the Pallis 3 Restaurant in Jefferson Township from 1959-1978. He then
worked as an executive chef at Picattiny Arsenal Officers Club. John was also the owner of Lori's
Deli in Dover until 1995. John was a member of the Analipsis Organization, the Order of AHEPA, the
Mason Lodge and the Tri-County Golf Association. He was an avid fan of the NY Jets and NY Mets.
John enjoyed playing cards, playing golf, and spending time with his beloved grandchildren.
John is survived by Betty, his beloved wife of 50 years; his devoted children Ted and his wife Lisa of
Chester, Evangelos and his wife Sue of Randolph, and Tom and his wife Terri of Parsippany. He is
also the cherished grandfather of Victoria, Gianna, John Thomas, Joseph, and Alexandra; the loving brother
of Nick Pallis of West Milford, Maria Aspras of Dover and Theodora Mihileas of Succasunna and many
nieces and nephews. Relatives and friends are invited to attend the viewing service on Thursday, November 10th, 4-8p.m.
at the Tuttle Funeral home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com). Funeral services will be
held on Friday, November 11th, at 11 a.m. at St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church, 1447 Sussex Tpk.
Randolph, NJ. Interment will follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. In lieu of flowers, donations may
be made in his memory to St. Andrews Greek Orthodox Church.
