John D. Capsouras
John D. Capsouras, 66, of Randolph, passed away suddenly, January 6th, 2012 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover. John was born in New York, NY and grew up in River Edge.
He served in the U.S. Navy during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a High School Teacher for the Parsippany Board of Education, Parsippany. He was a teacher for 37 years
Member of V.F.W. Post #7333, Randolph; former member Highlife Ski Club; President of Parsippany Teachers Union; member of Harley Owners Group (HOG); President and CEO of Master Blaster Inc.. He was a longtime volunteer at the Community at Mayo Performing Arts Center; part-time Animal Control Officer for Randolph and longtime coach for football, wrestling, and track for 30 years.
John is survived by his wife Barbara of 30 years; his children Janine Capsouras of MI, Cristina Capsouras of Randolph and Alexi Capsouras also of Randolph; his brother Frank Capsouras and wife Mary of Hillsdale. Also survived by many nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his parents Constantine and Jill Capsouras.
Visitation Tuesday, January 10th, 2012, 3 - 5& 7 - 9 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (tuttlefh.com).
Funeral Services will be held at the Presbyterian Church of Morris Plains, 400 Speedwell Avenue, Morris Plains, NJ 07950(973-539-3481) at 10:30 AM on Wednesday, January 11th, 2012.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in his memory to the Friends of Randolph Animal Pound c/o Town Hall, Health Department, 502 Millbrook Ave., Randolph, NJ 07869.
