Obituary of Edward Harris

Edward Harris, 77, of Lake Hopatcong, passed away Tuesday, May 4, 2010 at Saint Clares Hospital, Dover. Born in Rougemont, NC. He was a resident of Lake Hopatcong for 5 years, moved here from Rockaway. He worked as a Industrial Mechanic at Kenvil Newcrete, Kenvil, and retired in mid 1990's after 38 years. He was a car enthusiast. Survived by his wife Dorothy of 52 years; 5 children Darryl of Durham, NC, Douglas of Randolph, Malcolm and wife Ghinger of Rockaway, Diane Harris of Lake Hopatcong, and Derrick and wife Laura of Newton. Also survived by 4 grandchildren Tiffany, Melodie, Derrick, and Sydney; great-granddaughter Madison and his brother Ray Field of Randolph. Visitation Friday , May 7, 2010, 7 - 9 p.m. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held at a later date at the Betts & Son Funeral Home in Oxford, NC (919-693-7185). Interment will be at Harris Family Cemetery, Rougemont, NC.
