Obituary of Thomas R. Geldhauser

Thomas R. Geldhauser, Jr., 55, of Randolph, NJ died Monday, November 22, 2010 at Saint Clares Hospital, Denville after a short illness with cancer. He leaves his two daughters Melissa Ann, 25, who attended Katherine Gibbs School and is employed as a nanny and Heather Lynn, 23, of Budd Lake who is a graduate of County College of Morris and attends Montclair State University. Tom is predeceased by his father Thomas R. Geldhauser, Sr.. He is survived by his mother Dolores of Randolph and his two brothers Craig of Byram and Keith of East Granby, CT.. He also leaves three nephews Craig Robert, Todd and Scott and their mother, his sister-in-law Mary Ann and four cousins Doreen, Debbie, Denise and Gregory. Tom grew up in Clark, NJ where he leaves many lifelong friends. He moved to Randolph with his parents and brothers in 1975. He was loved by all who knew him.
Since 1988, Tom was employed by Telecordia Technologies where he was their Assistant Chief Electrician. He was a graduate of Arthur L. Johnson High School, Clark, NJ class of 1973 and graduated from the Union County Vocational School with a diploma in Electrical Science in 1975. He attended County College of Morris and completed the apprentice program of the Electrician's Union Local 68, West Caldwell in 1986. He holds several additional licenses and certifications.
Tom loved his family and loved to reminisce. He loved the outdoors - camping, fishing and taking long walks with his brother. He loved music and the Giants.
He was a loving father, devoted son and a mentor to his two younger brothers. He will be deeply missed.
Visitation Friday, November 26, 2010, 3 - 7 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will be held Saturday, November 27, 2010, 10:00 A.M. at the funeral home. Interment will follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in his memory to American Cancer Society, Eastern Division, Inc., Attn: Memorial Processing Center, 6725 Lyons Street, PO Box 7, East Syracuse, NY 13057.
