Obituary of Carol Jane Dinkowitz

Carol Jane Dinkowitz, 76, died on Dec. 10, 2010, at Compassionate Care Hospice, St. Clare's, Dover. Visitation is on Tuesday from 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 p.m. at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Highway 10, Randolph Township, N.J. 07869. Service is on Wednesday, Dec. 15, 2010, at 10 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, Wharton, N.J. Burial will be in Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover. Born in Newark on March 24, 1934, Carol was a resident of Mt. Hope since 1977, moving there from Lake Parsippany. She was a hostess for Macy's Restaurant in Rockaway Township, retiring in 1996 after 19 years. Carol was a member of St. Bernard's Parish of Mt. Hope. She was a member, past president and current vice president of Dover Senior Citizens; president of the Mine Hill Senior Citizens, and member of the Rockaway Township Senior Citizens. She was also a member of the Red Hat Society and a representative for M.C.O.P.A. She is survived by four children, son, Peter, at home; daughters, Diane Nunno and husband, John, of Stanhope, N.J.; Tina and husband, Chris Hulsman of Stanhope, and Susan Iverson and husband, Chris, of Lake Shawnee; one brother, Mark and wife, Pat, of Georgia; one sister, Dee Kenna of Florida, and eight grandchildren, Dana, John Peter, Gregory, Jennifer, Danielle, Christopher, Samantha and Ian. She was predeceased by her husband, Peter, in 1996. In lieu of flowers, donations are requested in her name to Pancreas Center, c/o Francine Castillo, 161 Ft. Washington Ave., Room 832, New York, N.Y. 10032, where Carol was a research participant.
