Obituary of Joanne M. Finger

Finger, 61, of Morris Plains, passed away Tuesday, December 21st, 2010 at Saint Clares Hospital, Denville, following a short illness. Born in New York, NY Joanne has been a resident of Morris Plains since 1994, moved here from Randolph. She worked as Senior Manager,Investor and Shareholder Relations at General Public Utility, Morristown, and retired in 2002 after twenty years. She received her B.S. in Business Management from Fairleigh Dickinson University. Joanne enjoyed boating and spending time with her friends at The Channel Club Marina in Monmouth Beach. She also loved travelling, reading, cooking and dogs. Joanne is survived by Ira her beloved husband of 21 years; her mother Dorothy Sweeney of Old Bridge; three brothers John Sweeney and wife Robin of Toms River, Mark Sweeney and wife Patricia of Long Valley, Larry Sweeney and wife Graca of Old Bridge; sister Lori Puritz of North Brunswick; her mother & father-in-law Norman and Shirley Finger of St. Louis, MO; her brother-in-law James Fillow of Lawrenceville, GA; her sister-in-law Laurie Cohen and husband Stuart of St. Louis, MO. Also survived by two nieces and six nephews Emily Cohen, Amanda Leibu, Jimi and Justin Fillow, John, Kevin, Brian and Eric Sweeney. Predeceased by her father John Joseph Sweeney in 1976 and her sister Margaret "Peggy" Fillow in 2005. Visitation Sunday, December 26th, 2010, 12 Noon - 3:00 P.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph.
