Obituary of Sylvia Lucille Wasley

Sylvia Lucille (nee Eastlake) Wasley passed away early in the morning of February 19 in St Clare’s- Dover General Hospital in Dover, NJ following a short illness. Born in Mayfield, PA on January 1, 1923, she lived in Jermyn, PA until moving to Clifton, NJ in 1943. She and her family spent summers in Hopatcong,NJ beginning in 1955 before she and husband Calvin became year-round Hopatcong residents in 1968, where she spent the rest of her life enjoying the lake with her three grandchildren and 13 great-grandchildren. Sylvia, a homemaker, was predeceased by her parents, Catherine and Andrew Eastlake, her husband Calvin (1999) and a brother James. She is survived by a daughter, Sylvia and husband Wayne Valentine, a sister, Norma Kujda, grandchildren Toni Ann Darwin (David), Randy (Donna Marie) Valentine and Calvin (April) Valentine. She is also survived by 13 great-grandchildren, numerous nieces and nephews and several sisters-in-law. The visitation will be at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Route 10, Randolph, NJ www.Tuttlefh.com on Tuesday, February 22,2011 from 3-5 & 7-9PM and also at Battenberg’s Funeral Home, 343 Washington Ave, Jermyn, PA on Thursday, February 24,2001 from 5-8PM. The Funeral Service will be on Friday, February 25, 2011 at 10:00AM also at Battenberg Funeral Home.
