Obituary of Howard Richard Jacke

Howard Richard Jacke, 89, of Gettysburg, PA, passed away Tuesday, May 17th, 2011 at his home. Howard was born in New Brunswick, NJ and previously resided in Livingston since 1952. He was a member of the First Baptist Church of Ledgewood, Ledgewood, NJ and former member of Northfield Baptist Church in Livingston, NJ. He served in the U.S. Coast Guard in the Pacific on the ship the fox during WWII. He worked as an Actuary Assistant at Prudential Insurance, Newark, NJ and retired in the early 1980's after over 30 years. Howard is survived by his wife, Barbara "Bobbie" of 61 years; son, Donald and his wife Pat; daughter, Carolyn Tuckey and her husband Marty. Also survived by five grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren; sister Barbara Tuck and sister-in-law Ellen Carol Jacke. Visitation Friday, May 20th, 2011, 10 - 11:00 A.M. at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, NJ 07869 (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home Friday at 11:00 A.M.. Interment will follow at Restland Memorial Park, East Hanover, NJ.
