Obituary of Edwin R. Carbin

CARBIN, Edwin R. (Ted) Born May 15, 1931 passed away peacefully at home with his family at his side on May 30, 2011. Ed is survived by his beloved wife, Ann, his children Patricia Hinds (Desmond), James, Barbara, Thomas (Carol), and Mary Mays (Frederick); his grandchildren, Meghan, Katherine, Erin (Hinds), Edwin (Ted), Eileen Ann (Carbin) and his beloved sister, Teresa of West Orange. He was also predeceased by his siblings Rosalind and James. Born in New Jersey, Ed attended Our Lady of Lourdes School, Seton Hall Prep and Seton Hall University. Ed served in the Marines during the Korean War. Ed was an executive with General Motors Corporation and he retired after 43 years of service. Ed was profoundly devoted to Jesus Christ in the Holy Eucharist and his great joy was earnestly working on church related activities. He was at his best as husband, father and grandfather -- that was his whole world. The wake will be at Tuttle Funeral Home, Route 10 in Randolph, NJ on Friday, June 3rd, 3-5 p.m., 7-9 p.m. (www.tuttlefh.com), and the Funeral Mass will be at St. Matthew the Apostle Parish on Dover-Chester Road in Randolph, at 10:30 a.m., Saturday, June 4th. Internment will be at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover, NJ.
