Obituary of John C. Schmitt

John C. Schmitt, 90, resident of Randolph, passed away Wednesday, July 13, 2011 at Sunrise Assisted Living. John was a resident of Pen Argyl, PA, then Fair Lawn, NJ, before moving to Randolph. He retired in 1985 from Genstar Company as a Chemical Engineer. John served in the United States Navy during World War II from 1943 to 1946. He is survived by his loving wife Jeanne of 64 years. Their three daughters Cynthia Rhea Ahrianya of Scottsdale, AZ, Christine Greenberg and husband Steven of Spring Hill, FL, Celine Wanner and husband Kurt of Stanhope, NJ, one granddaughter Kathryn Jae Wanner, and one step grandson Keith Greenberg. Also, survived by his two sisters Helen E. Paukner, and Carolyn Trippe. John was predeceased by his brother Francis T. Schmitt. He was a member of the Rotary Club, and Civil Defense of Bergen County.
