Obituary of Patricia Gilbert

Patricia Gilbert, 86 of Newton, NJ formally of Stroudsburg, PA and Morris Plains, NJ died Saturday in her retirement home at Bristol Glenn, Newton. Pat had retired as a homemaker after raising 5 children. She volunteered at her church and the Stroudsburg Library. Pat traveled often in retirement, taking her grandsons to England and Ireland. Other travels included the Grand Canyon and Alaska. Pat enjoyed her large family and was always available with humorous advice. Born in Richmond Hill, NY she lived in Morris Plains, NJ for 35 years before moving to Stroudsburg in 1986 and recently Newton. Surviving are her sons, Tony F. and wife Phyllis A., Michael E., John P., Gerald J. and wife Carmela M., daughter Deidre Allen and husband Cameron R. and her beloved grandchildren, Michael E. and wife Katie B., Mathew H. and Emily S.. Arrangements are by the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Viewing hours are Thursday, Aug. 11, 2011 from 3-5 pm and 7-9 pm. A Funeral Mass will held at Notre Dame of Mount Carmel Church, Cedar Knolls at 10 am on Friday, Aug. 12, 2011. Interment will follow at Hillside Cemetery, Succasunna.
