Obituary of Michael J. Bartek

Michael J. Bartek, 63, of Dover, passed away at home, Saturday, October 1st, 2011. Michael was born in Dover, and was a lifelong resident of Dover. He was a retired Anesthesiologist. Michael was very active in his son's life, coaching all his sports teams and taking him to the ocean where they body surfed and boogie boarded. He lived his life helping others including his son's friends. He loved playing the piano. Survived by his daughter Heather Guilford and husband David of San Francisco, CA, his son Michael Anthony Bartek of Dover and his mother Stella, his sister Mary Jean Negri and husband Frank of Lafayette, and his brother Stephen and wife Donna of Nashville, TN. Predeceased by his siblings Veronica Hargis, Thomas, Susan Villarreal, and Nancy Largent. A Memorial Mass will be held at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Richards Avenue, Dover, at 10:00 AM on Monday, October 10th, 2011.
