Obituary of Robert C. Galante

Robert C. Galante, 59, of Dover, passed away Sunday, January 22nd, 2012 at the Cancer Treatment Center of America, Philadelphia, following a short illness. Robert was born in Dumont and was a longtime resident of Dover.
He served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War.
He worked as a Truck Driver for R & G Trucking with local teamsters, Hoboken.
Past commander and life member of Dover American Legion Post #27, past treasurer and bar chairman of the Dover Moose Lodge #541, member of Murray's bar pool team and dart team and also the Dover Legion and Dover Moose dart teams.
Survived by his wife Judy; three children Tina, Crystal and Adam; stepson Edward Prentice Jr. and Fiancé Megan; seven grandchildren; parents Elizabeth and Joseph Galante of Toms River; two sisters Vickie Fagan and husband Barry of Bayville and Lisa Dante and husband Tony of Forked River; brother Jim Galante and wife Anne of Rock Tavern, NY and several nieces and nephews. Also survived by numerous family members and friends.
Visitation Saturday, January 28th, 2012, 1:00 - 5:00 PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Services will also be held at the funeral home on Saturday, January 28th, at 4:00 PM.
There will also be a Memorial Service on Sunday, January 29th, 2012, 1:00 - 4:00 PM in Bob's memory at the Dover American Legion Post #27, 2 Legion Place, Dover, NJ 07801.
