Obituary of Alan F. Volle
Alan Ferdinand Volle, 69, of Randolph, died on Friday September 8, 2017 at the New Jersey Veteran Hospital, East Orange.
Alan was born in Newark to the late Ferdinand and Mabel Volle (nee Inverarity) on July 29, 1948. He graduated from Parsippany High School in 1966. He attended Newark College of Engineering. He left college to join the Army. He attained the rank of Staff Sargent and served in the Army Corps of Engineers stationed in Vietnam. After an honorable discharge, he became a proud veteran of both the US Army National Guard and Reserve.
Alan Received his Associates Degree from Morris County College and worked for several engineering and construction companies. Alan was an outdoor enthusiast enjoying activities such as canoeing, camping, and taking trips with his friends. He was an avid reader and had a love of history, especially the Civil War. Most of all he was a humanist. He was always willing to help family and friends with a variety of construction related projects. He would help everyone-even strangers in need.
Alan is survived by his sister Jill Rimol and her husband Andy of Randolph; his aunt Jane Rissland; newphews Andy and Brian; and cousins, daughter and friends.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, September 13, 2017 at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) from 4:00PM - 6:30PM with a Funeral Service to follow. In lieu of flowers donations in Alan’s memory may be made to VANJ Health Care System, The General Post Fund, East Orange Campus, 385 Tremont Avenue, East Orange, NJ 07018.
