Whenever I came by through the years Helen was always so warm and welcoming. I loved just pulling up a chair and chatting with her over a cup of coffee. I was always inspired by how she engaged so fully in life and with the people she loved - aging never seemed to slow her down! A new angel now watches over us.
Sending love and prayers to all of you during this difficult time. Much love, Sue

I remember how kind Helen was to me. She never minded when I’d sleep over their home and hang out with her daughter Elena. There was always more than enough food to eat as if she knew I’d be showing up. This was over 40 years ago when Elena and I were still single.
A great sense of humor as she laughed at all my jokes! I remember Elena was pregnant with Joey when her dad passed. Hard times for them but Helen always managed to kick butt and ride thru the rough waves in life.
A tribute to a blessed woman who gave birth to precious children. Patricia, Elena and Richard. May you all feel Gods’ love, peace and tenderness during these trying times. Bless all you grandchildren and great grandchildren. ❤️
With sincere sentiments and love, Betsy Rovetto

What a blessed life my dear mother in law Helen had. Born in 1918 she has seen a century of history! She had 3 wonderful children, 11 grandchildren and 13 great- grandchildren! We had the good fortune to have her live with us for over 30 years! She was a sweetheart and made the best meatballs! Friday morning she passed away peacefully in her sleep with her granddaughter Michele at her side. May she Rest In Peace and her memory be eternal!

From Granddaughter Michele:
This morning we said goodbye to our beloved Grammie. She lived to be 99 1/2 years old. She had 3 children, 11 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.
As I sat with her through her last moments, I reflected on the kind of life she must’ve had. How many things she experienced. How she had seen so much change in her lifetime. I wondered what her perspective was like when America went to WWI ... and then WWII. I wonder what her life was like during the Great Depression. What her impression of airplanes was; of refrigeration; of the internet; of cell phones. Think of the things a society experiences in a century. She experienced it all.
Her heart was 100 years old. It beat approximately 3,155,760,000 times before it called it quits. Her heart beat with enough energy to make it to the moon and back again. And then some. And that truly blows my mind.
Although we had to say goodbye today, I am comforted to know of the extraordinary life she lived and how so very loved she was.
Rest peacefully grams
You will be truly missed.

From Granddaughter Meaghan:
*We lost a true wonder this morning. After 99 and a half years on this earth, my grandma’s century-old heart stopped beating, and she left this world with my sister at her side.
My Grandma Helen meant the world to me, as I was lucky enough to have her living in our house for nearly ALL (31.5 yrs!) of my life. She truly was a GRAND-mother, and I grew up thinking it was totally normal for everyone’s grandma to help take care of them when they were sick, to play with them, to teach them how to make fresh pasta (by hand), and to let them eat meatballs right out of the pan. Only now do I know how rare and special an opportunity that was, and I will cherish so many of our wonderful memories.
She loved her family so much; watched her three children grow, and was able to spend so many wonderful years with her 11 grandchildren and 13 great grandchildren!! She always loved to remind us how blessed she was, and when we were all together as a family, we’d look at our matriarch and smile and say “Grandma, you’re responsible for ALL of this!” She loved the Yankees (and until recently, never missed an opportunity to watch a game, even if it was an encore and she didn’t know any better), her puppies (Milo, Roxi, Addy and Rudy), and her crosswords.
I can’t begin to imagine the changes she saw in her lifetime, and the ebbs and flows of humanity that she witnessed. I hope you know what a true marvel you were Grandma, how I was convinced you’d live forever (or at least outlive us all), and how much I love you. I’ll miss you so much Grammy Grams. *I will carry you here in my heart, you remind me*

From Grandaughter Christine:
At 99 1/2 years old my Grandma Helen has gone to be with the angels. She was loved by so many. Her three children and our entire family showered her with love and spoiled her at any chance we could. She taught us so much and always had the right words to say. I'm so lucky to have known her and thankful that my children could spend so much time with her. I am going to miss her dearly. She was truly one of a kind. ❤️

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
