Obituary of Louis Demakos
Louis Demakos, 84, of Morris Plains, passed away on Wednesday, April 11, 2018, at Morristown Medical Center. He was born in Sparta, Greece and came to the US in 1950, he resided in West Hempstead, NY and has been a resident of Morris Plains since 1975.
Louis immigrated from the hardships of Civil War Greece for a better future for himself and his family. He became a self-made restaurant entrepreneur; his main restaurant being The Harbor Restaurant. He was dedicated and committed to his family and friends both here in America and in his homeland of Greece. He was a quietly generous man with a loving heart.
He is survived by his three daughters Eleni Demakos of Morris Plains, Demetra Laino and her husband Jeff of Long Island, NY and Potoula Gieger of Montville; four grandchildren Justin, Athanasia, Athanasia and Thomas Louis along with two brothers Niko and Taki. He was predeceased by his wife Athanasia in 1991.
Visitation Sunday, April 15, 2018, 2:00-6:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). Funeral Service Monday, April 16, 2018, 11:00AM, at St. Andrew Greek Orthodox Church, Randolph. Interment to follow at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover.
