Obituary of Valentino James Castaldi
Valentino James Castaldi 90, passed away on Tuesday, May 29, 2018 at St. Clare’s Hospital, Denville. He was a life long resident of Dover, he attended Sacred Heart School and Dover High School. He retired as an Assistant Chief from the Picatinny Fire Department after 32 years and later worked as a Fire Inspector for the Dover Fire Prevention Bureau. Val was a volunteer for the Dover Fire Dept and Rescue Squad, He is also a NJ exempt fireman and was a World War II Veteran in the Navy.
Val married his wife Peggy (Marguerite Roff) in 1957 and celebrated 60 years of marriage in September. He is survived by his wife Marguerite, daughter Carolyn, grandson David and sister Marie Broadhurst of Fl. Val was predeceased by his parents Carmine and Jennie Castaldi, his son David in 1989, his brothers Philip, Anthony, Larry, Vic, Art and Lou, his sisters Sarah and Madeline.

Funeral Mass Tuesday, June 5, 2018, 10:00 AM at St. Mary’s R. C. Church, Wharton.
