Obituary of Donald J Muniz
Donald (Don) John Muniz
Don Muniz, 73, of Byram, New Jersey passed away early morning, June 18, 2018, at Morristown Medical Center. Don was born June 24, 1944 in Brooklyn, New York to Ricardo Muniz and Lydia Muniz (nee Andreozzi).
Don was raised in Monmouth County, New Jersey where he developed a lifetime love for the beach and ocean. He will be fondly remembered by his family and friends for his generous spirit, winsome storytelling, and keen sense of humor. In a time of need or crisis, Don was a man that could be counted on to do everything he could to help another person. He rarely angered and was known to light up a room with his jokes and gentle nature. Don enjoyed political conversations, had a fondness for Italian food and a good steak, was an avid Elvis fan, but most of all, enjoyed spending time with his family. Don’s pride in his wife, children, and grandchildren was palpable to all those he encountered. He could give a mean toast and did so with great pleasure at many a family gathering. Don will be sorely missed by all the people he touched in life with his outgoing and welcoming personality.
Don was a long-time employment recruiter for several staffing agencies and was very entrepreneurial. Don was owner or part owner of several businesses throughout his life, most recently owning and managing two corporate cafes, where his many stories and jokes were not lost on his repeat customers.
