Obituary of Lucila DeSalazar
Lucila DeSalazar, “Abueli”, passed away peacefully with family by her side at home on Sunday, July 8th, 2018. Lucila went to be with the Lord at the age of 87.
Born in Daule, Ecuador, she was the daughter of Angel Anchundia and Mercedes Alvarado De Anchundia.
Lucila is survived by her children, Elba Salazar De Rodriguez; Ernesto DeSalazar and his wife Rosa DeSalazar; and Rocio Leiton; her grandchildren, Patricia Moreno and her husband Jose Moreno; Jessica Elisano and her husband Ralph Elisano; Fernanda Proano and her husband John Proano; Joe DeSalazar and his wife Meredith DeSalazar; Galo DeSalazar and his wife Joanna Kosinska; Mia DeSalazar; Louis Leiton and Cristina Leiton; her great-grandchildren Maria Jose Concha; Roberto Concha; Nicolina Elisano; Daniela Elisano; Isabella Proano; Julian Proano; Delancy DeSalazar; Maple DeSalazar and Arielle DeSalazar; her siblings Wagner Anchundia; Walter Anchundia; Manuel Anchundia; Blanca Moran, and Consuelo Resabala. Lucila was predeceased by her husband Ernesto Salazar, and her brothers Angel and Carlos Anchundia.
“Abueli” enjoyed reading, attending mass, visiting with friends, but most importantly Lucila cherished the time she
spent with her family. She would often say “I wish I could be in many places at the same time, so I could be with all of you”. She never wanted to miss the opportunity to show how much she loved her family.
Lucila was loved by many, it was hard not to feel a strong connection immediately after meeting her, in fact, her grandchildren’s friends saw her as their own grandmother.
A celebration of Lucila’s life will include a visitation on Wednesday, July 11, 2018 from 3:00 pm to 5:00 pm and from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm at the Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 Highway 10, Randolph, (www.tuttlefh.com). The funeral mass will take place on Thursday, July 12, 2018 at 10:00 at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, 4 Richards Avenue, Dover. Interment following at St. Mary’s Cemetery, 28 Hurd Street, Mine Hill Township.
