My heart is broken for your entire family and Rob’s friends and other loved ones. There are no words to express my deepest sympathy on the loss of this beautiful, smart, kind and gentle young man. He was the sweetest and kindest young man growing up and had a had gentle nature. Rob and Travis were buddies from a very young age and Rob always had a smile for everyone and a wonderful sense of humor. I remember on occasion Rob coming through the backyard to my house in his PJ’s and having breakfast with Travis. I enjoyed watching the boys play flashlight tag at night and the many birthdays parties and Halloween customs. His shinning light has gone out but his wonderful and kind spirit will live in and never be forgotten. He’s now an angel in heaven as he was in life I pray for all Rob’s loved ones to get you through this horrific time.

As parents we all have our favorites when it comes to our kid’s friends... Rob was mine.
The type of kid you want to walk in your house and open the refrigerator like he’s home. Not someone I had to change out of a bathrobe for, because it was Rob. He was one of the family. The boy next door.
Rob took Kim to the junior prom when neither one had dates. Rob probably could have cared less about going solo, but he stepped up for us.
Anytime Rob was in the Berger house there was laughter, he was especially adept at cracking Robby up. We were guaranteed a good time.
Rob was always polite, well mannered, and a pleasure to be around. It’s no wonder, look at his parents.
We’ve grown to love all the Petrella family. The pain our family is in is immeasurable .
Rob, you will live on in our hearts forever.

Rob was a very big part of my son JASON’s junior and senior year at Randolph high school. They played tennis together, they played video games together at our house and his house and we even had him join us in Florida for a dance competition trip. He was a warm and friendly young man. Smart, funny and kind. And we will always remember him fondly. Rest In Peace Rob!

Rob was one of the most caring and selfless people I have been able to meet in my life. I am so deeply saddened by the loss of someone so wonderful. Not only did I go to high school with Rob, but I was also able to work with him at Untracht Early. Rob took me under his wing and introduced me to everyone there. He always wanted everyone to be on the same team. He really had a knack for making everyone feel comfortable and you just always knew how much he cared. I will never forget that smile that brightened up every room and I will for sure never forget his laugh!! He didn't have a bad bone in his body. He will be greatly missed. The Petrella family will stay in my thoughts and prayers and my heart goes out to you in your time of sorrow. I feel blessed to have known him.
