Obituary of Arthur Mavromatis

Arthur Mavromatis, 73, passed away on March 27, 2021. Arthur is survived by his devoted wife and best friend of thiry-nine years, Linda Mavromatis, as well as his loving children, Adam Mavromatis and Amanda Fischer. He is remembered fondly by his daughter-in-law, Melissa Mavromatis and son-in-law Vinny Fischer. He was also the proud and loving grandfather, also known fondly as “Pappou”, to Thomas Arthur Fischer.

Arthur graduated from Fresh Meadows High School in Queens NY. After attending Queens College, Arthur worked long time in the trucking and logistics industry. He finished his career as Assistant Vice President before retiring in the spring of 2020.

Arthur is survived by his sister, Greta Mavromatis. He was predeceased by his mother, Helen Mavromatis, his sister, Victoria Mavromatis, and his brother-in-law Donald Oellerich.
