Obituary of Sarina Machi

Sarina Machi (nee Sbaratta) passed away peacefully in Wayne, NJ on January 17, 2022. She was born in Frazzano, a comune in Sicily, Italy. She immigrated to the United States and settled in Jersey City, NJ. She returned to Italy in 1954 to marry Anthony Machi. For almost thirty years, she resided in North Bergen where she worked as a seamstress ending her career at Manzo Uniforms in Jersey City, NJ. She enjoyed Bingo on Friday nights with her sisters as well as day trips to Atlantic City casinos. In retirement, she moved to Dover NJ, where she worked at Costco in Wharton in Club Demonstration Services.

She was the devoted mother to Carlo Machi and Linda Machi-Smith and devoted mother-in-law to Margaret Machi. She is survived by her sisters, Josephine Marino, Rose Turso and Adele Pepe, as well as her grandchildren, Dana Gutierrez & her husband Ivan, Kristi Machi, Thomas Smith & his wife Sthefanie, Tyler Smith and her great grandson, Vincenzo Gutierrez. She also leaves behind a large extended family and friends, who will miss her greatly. Sarina was predeceased by her husband Anthony Machi, as well as her parents Lorenza & Vincenzo Sbaratta.

A memorial service will take place on Thursday January 27th 2022, from 6-8PM at Tuttle Funeral Home (tuttlefh.com) on Route 10 in Randolph NJ.
