Obituary of Robert Harold Leffingwell

Robert H. Leffingwell, 79, of Landing, N.J. passed away unexpectedly at Chilton Medical Center, Pompton Plains, N.J. on February 6, 2022. Bob was born on November 19, 1942 to Harold and Jean (Petrzelka) Leffingwell in Dover, New Jersey. He grew up and attended school in Rockaway Township.

Bob worked as a painter most of his life and was a member of the painter`s union in New Jersey. He had his own business called All-Phase Construction for many years. He had a love of old cars and once owned a 1939 and a 1955 Chevrolet. Bob lived a colorful life and always had a story to tell. His rough exterior hid his soft heart well. He will be greatly missed and loved forever by his family. 

Survivors include siblings, Jack Leffingwell, Lorna Philhower (Walter), Lyn Greenfield (Dwain), Joyce Gralnick, and Kim Weaver (Victor), daughter-in-law Caroline Willis, grandchildren Cody and Ryan Willis and ten nieces and nephews. Bob also had a son, Robert (Robbie) Willis. 

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Jean Leffingwell, his brother, Bruce Leffingwell and his son Robbie Willis. 

There will be a private graveside ceremony at Locust Hill Cemetery in Dover, New Jersey. Prayers are appreciated.
