Obituary of Carol Ann Ferrante
Carol Ann Ferrante (nee, Laub), 74, of Rockaway Township, NJ died Saturday, March 26, 2022 at her home in Rockaway Township surrounded by her family. She was the loving wife of John P. Ferrante with whom she shared 54 years of marriage.
Born in New York City, she was the daughter of Theodore and Theresa Laub. She was raised in the Parkchester Apartment Complex in the Bronx, New York and later moved to Rockaway Township in 1974. Carol was a graduate of St. Helena High School in the Bronx and Berkley Secretarial School in Manhattan. She held the position of Executive Secretary while employed at General Telephone and Electronics and later at the Ford Foundation, both in Manhattan. After raising 2 wonderful children, she later was employed by the Rockaway Township Board of Education.
Post retirement, she enjoyed traveling, especially to Hawaii, California, Las Vegas, Walt Disney World, and cruising the many islands the Caribbean and North Atlantic (Bermuda) with her husband and family. She also enjoyed trips to Atlantic City and the Pocono casinos. Carol was a member of St. Cecilia`s Roman Catholic Church in Rockaway, NJ.
What`s most meaningful, is her role as a wife, mother, and grandmother. Carol was always faithful in these roles in her love and commitment to all of us. She was there for us and curious about all that was going on in our lives. She was the most generous and selfless person in serving her family.
In addition to her husband, she is survived by her daughter Janine Varhaul and her husband Lawrence and their children Emily and Michael of Succasunna, NJ; and her son John and his wife Lynn-Marie and their children Angelina, Nicholas and Joseph of Budd Lake, NJ; in-laws: Doloretta Ferrante and Patrick Ferrante; and many loving nieces and nephews.
A Visitation will be held from 2:00-4:00 and 6:00-8:00PM on Wednesday, March 30, 2022, at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph, NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). A Funeral Mass will be held at 10:00AM on Thursday, March 31, 2022, at St Cecilia Roman Catholic Church, Rockaway, NJ. Interment will follow at Stanhope Union Cemetery, Netcong, NJ.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests a donation be made in her memory to American Cancer Society.
