Carrie J. Stafford
Dover – Carrie J. Stafford, 97, passed away peacefully on April 27, 2022 at the Regency Grand Nursing Home, Dover NJ after a short illness.
Carrie was born in Aultman, Ohio to the late John and Susie (Mushatt) Hunter. She was predeceased by her sister and three brothers. She and her husband James, moved to Victory Gardens in 1956, where they raised their four children. Carrie was proud of her many years of service at Warner Lambert Pharmaceutical, Morris Plains and enjoyed attending the retiree luncheons and their trips to Atlantic City. She was a dedicated member of the Rockaway Seventh Day Adventist Church, where she taught Sabbath School. Those Saturdays often concluded with a weekly lunch date with her sister Jessie. Carrie loved to travel, going out to eat, especially seafood, and spending time with family and friends. At every event, Carrie had her camera in hand ready to capture the moment.
She was predeceased by her husband, James A. Stafford, daughter, Denise and son, James. She is survived by her devoted son, Gregory Stafford (Dale). She leaves behind three granddaughters, Jamie, Kassandra and Taylor and four great grandsons.
Visitation will be held Tuesday, May 3, 2022 at 10:00 am followed by a service at 12:00 noon, at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph NJ (www.tuttlefh.com). Interment to follow at the Montville Reformed Church Cemetery, Montville NJ.
