When Michael met Susan I could not believe that he found such a kind, sweet, caring, loving person. She was one of a kind. A very special person. Michael and Susan were very much in love, and she didn't want to leave Michael. They were inseparable and they never left each others side. They had the greatest love story I have ever known. She was very strong and fought very hard during these last 3 years. She was a fighter and had a wonderful spirit up to the end, and will no longer be suffering with this horrible disease. She was an angel, and will be up in heaven with the other angels. I will miss her so much.

Every once in a while you meet a wonderful person. Susan was a wonderful soul, who wouldn't even hurt a spider. She never complained and believed God would conquer this horrid disease. She was my daughter-in-law and best friend. She knew how much we loved her. She is the wind beneath our wings. The bravest soul ever. She's with the angels I know. She was one in life as well. It is with a heavy heart I sit here and send my sincere condolences to both of Susan's families. Susan was like no other how she fought her way over the last three years. Her and Michael had such a wonderful love story and they truly were each others soul mates! Michael cared for her during her sickness so lovingly and was so brave that I am sure he extended her life until it was time for her to pass.
To Mike, Lynn, Nicole and Maryann Gerardo, I share my condolences. When Susan came into your lives, she made it so much better, to have such a wonderful person around you for all those years, what a sweetheart she was. I know how much you also will miss her.
May you rest in peace now Susan and let the wind beneath your wings take you home, where someday we will all meet again.
