Obituary of George Poolas

Funeral Services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home for 10 a.m. Mr. George Poolas, 88, of Dover passed away Sunday, December 6th, 2009 at home, following a long illness. Lifetime resident of Dover. Mr. Poolas was born in Dover. He served in the U.S. Army Air Corp in WW II. He worked as an Electronic Technician at Picatinny Arsenal, Rockaway Township and retired in the late 1980's after 25 years. He was an avid reader and an educational mentor. Survived by his wife Violet of fifty-seven years, two sons Edward Poolas and his wife Jody Verga of Totowa and Paul Westbrook and his wife Lisa of Las Cruces, NM. Also survived by four grandchildren; Stephen and Darren Poolas, Dennis Westbrook and Faith Hurt and six great-grandchildren and his brother Billy Poolas of Dover. Funeral Services will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 State Route 10 West, Randolph, at 10 a.m. on Thursday, December 10th, 2009.
