Obituary of Barbara Louise Werner

Barbara ‘Barb’ Werner, 87, of Chester, New Jersey, passed away at her home Friday, October 14, 2022, on what would have been her husband Robert’s 90th birthday.

Barbara was born in Newark, NJ, but later moved to PA, where she met the love of her life when she was 15. They later built a home and raised their children in Towaco, New Jersey when the area was relatively undeveloped. Barbara sustained life-long friendships with her neighbors, and enjoyed meeting them for lunch and outings throughout the years. She also cherished trips to Cancún with her brother-in-law, Ron, and her ‘sister’, Gloria. She took pride in everything she did, collecting teddy bears, keeping an immaculate home and garden, and being a talented cook.

Barbara is survived by her son, Robert, and her five grandchildren – Rhonda, Melissa, Sarah, David, and Ashley. She was a favorite amongst her eleven great-grandchildren, all of whom were so fortunate to get to know her.

She is predeceased by her husband, Bob, who passed only 18 days prior, her sister, Deanna, her daughter, Linda, and son, Bruce.

A memorial service will be held at Tuttle Funeral Home, 272 NJ-10, Randoph, NJ, on October 22, 2022 from 12:00 pm-2:00 pm, with a funeral service to start at 2:00 PM also at the Funeral Home.
