Obituary of Florence Marsicovete
Florence Marsicovete (nee Tomkiewicz), 90, of Mine Hill, New Jersey passed away at home on Saturday, November 19, 2022 after a long illness.
Florence was born on November 21, 1931 in Newark, NJ and raised in Roxbury, NJ. Over a forty-year career in banking, she became one of the first females in the state to be promoted to Vice President. Once she retired from Horizon Bank Corporation, she enjoyed traveling with her husband Joseph, leaving her footprints on numerous countries all around the world. In addition, she achieved the highest “5 star” level on Holland America cruises. She also enjoyed playing golf and dancing. Florence was a parishioner at Saint Mary’s Church and donated her time as a Eucharistic Minister while serving on various committees.
Florence is survived by her son William Tranovich and his three children David and his wife Tammie, Paul and his wife Sharon, and Donna and her husband Brian, her niece Donna Tomkiewicz, nephews Otis and Lane Cole and their families, Annette Esposito and her husband Scott, and Deacon Joseph C. Marsicovete and his wife Debbie and their daughter Jean. In addition, Florence has 10 great grandchildren and 13 great-great grandchildren.
She was predeceased by her husband Joseph R. Marsicovete, brother Walter Tomkiewicz, Sister Jane Cole, daughter Judith Tranovich and her first husband Francis Fahner.
Visitation will be on Tuesday, November 22, 2022 from 3 to 7 pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (www.tuttlefh.com). A Funeral Mass will be offered on Wednesday, November 23, 2022 at 10 am at Saint Mary’s Church, Wharton, (GPS address -371 South Main Street, Wharton, NJ 07885). An Entombment will follow at Locus Hill Cemetery, Dover.
