Obituary of David Edward Scheidecker

David Edward Scheidecker, 49, passed away on November 27, 2022 at his residence in Stanhope.  He was a Project Coordinator with Challenge Printing in Clifton.

Dave enjoyed his reef tank hobby, Sasha his cat, his townhouse and furnishing it, searching for the right pieces for hours with his Mom, great food, and the company of his family and friends.

Dave loved laughing more than anything else, telling a funny story and even funnier - with an impersonation. When he had a joke, you could tell by the look on his face it was coming and knew you were going to laugh. 

Dave was passionate about his views and saw the world through a lens of what is fair and right. He initiated a one time Christmas tradition of singing the Twelve Days of Christmas, with a big emphasis on five golden rings. Christmas Eve at Dave’s house was always full of great food and fun. He was always the favorite of his Mom and Dad’s dogs.

Dave is survived by his parents Richard and Diane Scheidecker of Mine Hill, his three brothers Jeff and his wife Robin of Rockaway Township, Scott of Morristown, and Dan of Budd Lake, his eight nieces and nephews; Brandy, Travis, Jarred, Brian, Courtney, Amy, Eric and Kyle.  He is predeceased by his sister Eileen in 2006.

Graveside Service 12:00 PM on Thursday, December 1, 2022, at St. Mary’s Cemetery, Mine Hill.
