Obituary of James W. Hoglund
James W. Hogland, 83, of Randolph, passed away peacefully at the Hospice of Northern NJ at St. Clares Hospital in Dover, on Friday, December 23,2022.
James served in the U.S. Army during the Vietnam War. He worked as an Electrical Engineer for General Electric, retiring after 29 years. James was an avid HAM Radio operator and member of the NRA. He was very tech savvy and loved working with computers, He once even built his own TV. He loved cars and he often used his automotive expertise helping family members when they were looking to purchase a car. James also was known for his good advice and his love of going out to eat. He liked traveling, especially out west, where he was originally from. He was also interested in Native American Culture and enjoyed attending Pow Wows.
James is survived by Ruth (nee Weiner), his loving wife of 46 years. His step-daughter; Sharon Stieve and her husband Jim. He is also survived by his 3 grandchildren; Arty Stieve, Alex Stieve and Eliana Stieve. As well as his niece; Carolyn Hoglund and his sister-in-law; Mary Mosquera.
A Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 29,2022 from 2pm to 3:30pm at Tuttle Funeral Home in Randolph. The Memorial Service will follow at 3:30pm, also at the Funeral Home. Interment will be private.
