Obituary of Pamela Jean Channell

Pamela Jean (Schneider) Channell, age 70, of Randolph, NJ passed away on March 2, 2023 at St. Clare’s Dover Hospital. 
 
Pam was the daughter of Jean (Carling) and William “Bud” Schneider. She was a 1971 graduate of Randolph High School. She was employed by AIG for many years, and later held various clerical jobs. Pam was a life-long member of Mt. Fern Methodist Church. She was involved in all church activities, taught Sunday school, sang in the church choir, and helped plan many events. She especially enjoyed organizing and running the church gift shop, as Pam always loved meeting new people. More recently, she became a member of the Ironia Free Methodist Church of Randolph where she opened a new thrift store and volunteered much of her time. 
 
Pam is survived by several cousins: Debra Jean (Carling) Schaefer of Oklahoma, Glen Alan Carling of Virginia, Michael Alan Carling of California, Susan Janet (Carling) Montag of Virginia, and Howard Smith of Tennessee. She also leaves behind many dear friends, including but not limited to: Debbie Russo [Ledgewood, NJ]; Cheryl Venezia [Denville, NJ]; Sarah Mutke [Randolph, NJ]; Barbara Stevens and her daughter Allyson [Randolph, NJ]; and Joan Groh [Toms River, NJ]. Pam was predeceased in death by another cherished friend Joan Cuccioli-Chmura. 
 
A Memorial Service for Pam will be held at 7:00 PM on Sunday March 26, 2023  at Ironia Free Methodist Church - 298 Dover Chester Rd., Randolph. A private interment at Locust Hill Cemetery, Dover will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made in her memory to her church (named above) or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital. Arrangements by Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com)
