Obituary of Mabel M. Easton
Mabel M Easton, passed away peacefully at St. Clare’s Hospital of Dover on Monday, April 17th at the age of 84. Born and raised in Jacksonville, FL, Mabel was born on February 11, 1939, to the late Willy and Idella Young. Mabel was preceded in death by her son Warren J Easton. She was also preceded in death by her siblings: Willy Young, Jaime Forshee, Ernest (“Buddy”) Young and Elizabeth (“Libby”) Dupree.
Mabel, a devoted mother, leaves behind her sons, Charles L Easton and Timothy B Easton and daughter, Elaine L Smith; grandchild, Keisha L (Antonio) Bryant; great grandchildren: Brionna M Bryant, Jaden L Bryant and Kani A Bryant. She also leaves behind her brothers: James (Veronica) Young, Howard (Barbara) Young and a host of nieces and nephews.
Mabel devoted her life to the Lord and was a member of "Garden Chapel" for over 30 years.
Mabel’s career was working in Finance for the Dept of Defense at Picatinny Arsenal in Rockaway NJ for 32 years before retiring in 1998. Thereafter she became a Certified Nursing Aid, where she dedicated her life to comfort care for many patients (friends) in need.
Mabel’s greatest peace was being outdoors where you found her gardening, doing masonry work or simply “tinkering in the yard”.
A Memorial Service is being held for Mabel on Saturday, April 29, 2023, from 11:30am – 12:30pm with a memorial service beginning at 12:30pm at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com), immediately followed by a repass at her home church “Garden Chapel” on Washington Ave in Victory Gardens, NJ.
