Obituary of Angela L Stefanelli

Beloved mother, grandmother and great-grandmother Angela Louise Stefanelli (nee DelGuercio), 84, passed away peacefully on April 24, 2023 at her home in Randolph NJ with her family by her side.
Angela was born in Newark and grew up in East Orange, where she graduated from Clifford Scott High School in 1957. She married the love of her life, Frank Anthony Stefanelli and raised their family in West Orange before moving to Randolph in 1994. Angela was the loving mother of Frank D. Stefanelli and his wife Margaret, and Denise Cappello and her husband Pete.
Angela was an excellent cook and she enjoyed nothing more than hosting large family dinners. In addition to running her own ceramic studio for several years, Angela held various positions in retail, computers and insurance before spending the remainder of her career managing doctors’ offices, where the patients loved her caring and outgoing personality. She retired in 2008 at age 70.
She is predeceased by her beloved husband of 45 years, Frank A. Stefanelli, parents Gerardo (Charles) and Carmelina (Mildred) DelGuercio, brother Michael DelGuercio, sister Rose Marie Grogan, sister-in-law Esther Booth, nephew Sam Grogan and nieces Linda Grogan, Roxanne Lewis and Lisa Booth.
She is survived by her brother, Gerald DelGuercio (Terry), her adoring grandchildren, Frank P. Stefanelli, Tia Zeleny (RJ), Taylor Tedona (Matt), Christopher Cappello and Luke Stefanelli, her great-grandchildren Luciano Tedona, Anthony Zeleny and Grayla Tedona, as well as many loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, relatives and friends.
The family would like to extend a special thank you to Paulina Otu, whose kindness, patience and caring during Angela’s last months was truly a blessing.
A service celebrating Angela’s life will be held at the Chapel Mausoleum (of the Resurrection) at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Avenue, East Hanover, NJ. On Thursday, April 27, 2023 at 11:00 AM. ***We are meeting at the parking lot by the office of Gate of Heaven Cemetery, please arrive prior to 11:00 am***
At the conclusion of the service, all friends and family are invited to a repass at the Hanover Manor, 16 Eagle Rock Avenue, East Hanover, NJ.
Flowers are not permitted in the Chapel Mausoleum. In lieu of flowers, the family asks that donations be made in her memory to the Randolph Rescue Squad at randolphrescue.org.
