Obituary of Paul DeVito Jr.
On Saturday, April 22nd, beloved husband, father, grandfather and great grandfather Paul DeVito Jr passed away at the age of 73.
Paul was Born in New York, NY on June 23, 1949 to Paul Sr and Helen DeVito and brother to Carmine, Thomas, Rosalie and Diane. He grew up in the Two Bridges neighborhood of Manhattan and met his Wife of 58 years, Georgette on Broadway. They were married on January 31st, 1965.
He was a chauffeur, and a local 707 Teamsters transporter until 2011. Paul and his wife raised 4 children; Paul III, Joseph, George, and Loni and had a fulfilling role as Grandfather to Thomas, Paul, Christian, and Andrew as well as Great Grandfather to Olivia.
Paul had many passions in life, most known for his Bicycling. Paul would ride his bike every day whether to work, along the Caesar’s Bay Bike Path, the five borough bike tour as well as all over Florida, where he and his wife resided for nearly 10 years. He also actively hiked with his children and always took advantage of a warm summers day to relax on the beach.
Paul was known for his smile, laugh, and overall loving nature. He was easily loved and very outgoing. With many friends, Paul was always the life of the party. Everyone always gravitated towards him because of his sweet demeanor and lovable personality. He always offered you a beer and would sit and converse for hours over any subject. With a gleam in his Hazel eyes and a smile from ear to ear, Paul would always make everyone feel at home and at ease.
Paul is survived by his wife, Georgette along with his children, Paul III, Joseph, George and Loni and his grandchildren Thomas, Paul, Christian and Andrew along with his great grandchild, Olivia
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, April 26, 2023 from 4:00-7:30PM with a service at 7:30PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Interment is private.
