So many childhood memories include Fay. She was a beautiful, kind, fun, loving lady who was like a second mom to me. She seemed to thrive in what others would consider to be chaos. She'd be cooking, entertaining, having kids run in and out, and still managed to make everyone there feel special and loved. She was kind enough to share her meatball and gravy recipe with my Mom, and it quickly became a family favorite. It's also become an often requested favorite of my family and friends, and always takes me back to my childhood, eating at her kitchen table. Every time I make it, I find myself sharing stories of Fay and the Tomainos, and being lucky enough to grow up with neighbors who truly were family. My heartfelt condolences to the family. Q: What 3 words best describe Fay and why? A: Gentle B. Kind C. Caring Every time Pat and I would see Faye, whether at Resurrection or at Frank and Leah’s, there was always a beautiful smile, a kind word, and a sincere hug that let you know that you meant something to her. I will always remember that ever present smile!
