Dear Greg,
I attempted writing you a tribute multiple times, but cannot seem to find the right words. Every time I write a sentence in past tense, I find myself wanting to delete the whole paragraph because this just cannot be real.
I would like to start off by saying thank you! Thank you for accepting me and showing me love from the very beginning. Thank you for always being yourself and never straying from your beliefs. Thank you for being so dependable and always sticking to your word. With such beautiful qualities, it's no wonder why you were loved so deeply by so many.
It amazes me how you were able to be so productive and get so much done with only 24 hours in a day. Everyday you were a hands-on father, loving and loyal husband, an amazing brother, uncle and son; and without question, the same to all you considered family. During these last few days, I heard so many stories about you helping someone or doing something super special. It's obvious that you did many great things that just went under the radar. You were a superhero! You always found time for others while simultaneously keeping an organized home and an immaculate garage.
We lost an honorary member of the "We Married into this Crazy Family” club. I will forever miss the hilarious huddles You, Erick, and I would have about all the crazy similar things we saw our spouses do. Your laugh was infectious. I still hear it whenever I close my eyes and think of you; it warms my heart.
Everyone knew you were ALWAYS down for a good time. Being with your loved ones gave you strength and it filled your cup; and when it came to the real cup in your hand, you had no shame if a "girly drink" was poured into it; you would just say, "this shit good!"
Greg, I make this promise to love your family. I promise to keep your memory alive. I will speak your name and be there for your loved ones. Joel created "Greg's Garden" at home and when I am there I will always reflect on the many memories we shared. I was very lucky to have met you and even luckier to have you as my brother. You will forever be missed.
With Love,
Jessie Familia

My best friend gone too soon what a tragedy. The loss of a friend like you I will never recover from. But what would have been worse is never to have met you. I am so grateful to have been your friend in life and will continue to be in death, honoring you in all I do.
The value of your friendship is beyond measure. I'd pay anything to have you back one more moment, for one more memory. I miss you so much.
Saying goodbye this soon feels wrong. So instead, I'll just say I love you and know you are with me always.
Love you G

I do not know where to start. I suppose I would like to ask, how does someone enter your life, then sneak into your heart so discreetly, in such a way to blind you from realizing the significant amounts of love you are acquiring for them, only to realize the extent after they have unexpectedly passed? This is where I find myself with you, Greg. The profound impact you have made in my life and the amount of love I have acquired for you throughout our years together is something I will hold on to and cherish for the rest of my life.
“The good ones die young.” I heard this phrase so many times in my life. I wish I had listened to these words with more conviction. This whole “it won’t happen to me attitude” failed me the most when it came to you, Greg. The forewarning was obviously about you as you have always been the best of them. Case in point, you were my best man at my wedding. I did not have to ask you to be; you just knew it was your role to fill and you stepped up better than anyone else could have; better than I could have ever hoped for. You made my wedding so great!
After my daughter was born, you came by the house by yourself to visit her. You made the biggest impression on her so quickly in her few years of life, where to this day, at three years old, she brings you up nearly every day. It saddens me so much that she will not have her uncle to play with and make her laugh; and in the future, attend her milestone events and bestow her with wisdom.
You made my sister so happy, happier than anyone else has. The heartache your passing has caused is something that will never be forgotten. You were my sister’s Jack Dawson. I so hope the afterlife is real, and that you are waiting for her, like Jack was waiting for Rose at the top of the steps near the clock; and that you are waiting for me at the bar; so I can give you the biggest of hugs, and raise a glass to my big bro to share a toast that emphasizes the profound love and appreciation I have for you.
I write these words with many tears coming down my face. I will never forget you. I hope you know that I have always had nothing but love for you; even during our many kerfuffles over card games or cornhole, I have always appreciated you and admired the strong person you were. The discipline and organization you maintained in your life was inspiring. I love you big bro. Rest in peace.
Eternally grateful,
Joel Familia

There are so many memories i have of us growing up together. As kids Greg was not only our cousin, but like another brother to us. Playing basketball and the camping trips were always more exciting when he was around. He is present in soo many of my childhood memories and i truly wish we were able to make more as adults. But we will always have the Victorville days. Rest in heaven King.

No farewell words were spoken, there was no time to say goodbye. You were gone before we knew it, and only God knows why.
Nothing can ever take away the love our heart holds or the great memories we've shared more precious than gold.
Rest in peace, our dear Cousin.
Love you forever!

Gregory, we are 1st cousins and when we were little that meant closeness. Unfortunately, our lives went in different directions and we lost touch as many families do. You will live on through the lives of those closest to you and your love left behind remains in them.

What can I say about this guy. Since he moved across the street from my grandmother house in Compton not only did I know I was going to meet a best friend but also a brother. Stand up guy dependable and just genuinely a great good hearted person all the way around, we did everything played every sport from basketball, football, and although I wasn’t good in baseball as he was we played that too. He was my closest confidant during hard times and never judged.. He will forever be entrenched in my heart you are and always will be a legend my brother God bless!!!

Greg was a Good Dude, we met thru Basketball at the Church in Jersey. When we played against eachother it was great competition and I always look forward to coming back the next week. I Appreciate you Greg for being that older guy who can still keep up with me. Thank you for introducing me to other Basketball leagues and letting me know where all the basketball games and parks was at. My Condolences to the family R.I.P Greg Davis.

Q: What will you never forget about Gregory?
A: I did not know “Lil Greg” as he was known throughout the Davis family as well as I knew his father ( Greg, Sr) , his mother (Janice Aubry) or his sister, “Tricie” ( LaTrice). But, I was always amazed at how much he resembled his father and even more how much of a family man he was. He always seemed to be focused on his family and loving to his kids and wife. He exuded personality and had a smile that warmed the atmosphere. He was easy to be around and love. I did not know all the details of his life but I enjoyed seeing him at family events.
My heart sank when I heard the news of his passing. I was in shock and my thoughts went immediately to the family he left behind. My tears met with their tears. I know his wife, kids, sister and mother will forever now live with this vital part of their lives missing. Imagine if I am so saddened by his loss what those who knew him more intimately must feel. Rest well, young Angel. You made an impression on many hearts and your presence on this earth will not be forgotten.
