Obituary of Gerald A Burnham

Gerald A. Burnham, 86, passed away on Wednesday, June 7, 2023, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Denville.   He graduated from Newark College of Engineering, and he had an extended career in the Bell System started with Western Electric in Kearny, NJ. Over the years he held many Engineering  positions -Electronic Switching Systems ,Equipment Engineering, Industrial Engineering, Installation & Time Standards, later moving into Product Management at the Product Central Office as a  Sales  & Service Consulting for Switching Eqmt.   Western Electric was later to become AT & T Bell Systems and AT & T -Lucent Technology, Basking Ridge.

Gerald enjoyed sailing and was a long time member of the Morris County Chapter of SEAS Sailing Club.  He also enjoyed vintage cars, Nascar racing and football. Jerry also enjoyed  traveling with his Wife Anne visiting  all of the most popular tourist attractions  in many countries France, Italy, Spain, Greece, Egypt,  Alaska & the Caribbean Islands.

He is survived by his wife; Anne Burnham (nee Sellers), his daughter; Janine Ruth, his son Wayne Burnham and his wife Cyndi, his daughter Lisanne Mayo and her husband Frank, his grandchildren; Michael, Theadore, Samuel, Courtney, Brett (Jenny), Dustin, his brother Milo Burnham and his extended family; Adrienne, Dante and Willie Burns.

Gerald is predeceased by his mother, Thelma Burnham.
