Obituary of David F Shapiro

David F. Shapiro, 71, of Rockaway, passed away suddenly on Wednesday, July 19, 2023, at St. Clare’s Hospital, Denville. He was born in Dover to the late Paul Shapiro and Sharon Anzelone.  

He was a graduate of the Morris Hill High School class of 1970, where he was a standout athlete in basketball.

David worked as a realtor for over 40 years, most recently with Remax Town & Valley, Succasunna.  He also worked as a bartender at the Exchange, in Rockaway, NJ where everyone knew his name!

Dave was an avid freshwater fisherman, huge sports fan who loved his Yankees, Packers and Celtics.  He loved old Doo wop music and old cars, especially when they were combined at the Lead East Car Show!

He is survived by his loving wife of 39 years, Tricia; his son’s Joseph Cuff and his wife Jen, Paul Shapiro and his fiancé Amanda Hamill, his two grandchildren Joseph and Olivia Cuff,  his Brother, Peter Shapiro and wife Caryn and his sister Carol and husband Rick Lansing and many, nieces and nephews. He is predeceased by his loving parents and grandparents.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, July 23, 2023, from 1-5PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. A funeral service will take place Monday, July 24, 2023, 10AM also at the funeral home. Interment is private.
