I had the distinct pleasure of working with George at Kitchen Kettle Village. I work in the coffee shop, but I find myself over at the Cafe often. I always looked forward to interacting with George, even if it was a simple smile across the dining room or a quick wave through the windows. I've often found myself wondering what memories were seen through his kind, yet mischievous eyes.
There's no doubt how much he loved his family! I hope you all find peace and joy as you recall memories as you walk through your grief journey.

I had the privilege of working with George at Kitchen Kettle Village. The more I learned about him the more I gained respect for him. His compassion towards those that he worked with and the guests that he served was a true testament of his character. On one specific occasion I remember receiving a letter from our lodging team letting me know that the guests that were staying with us wanted to recognize George specifically and the impact that he had on their experience here in the Village. Our guests and the Kitchen Kettle team will greatly miss him. My sincerest condolences to his friends and family.

Our family would always gather for birthdays, and holidays like Thanks Giving and Christmas. We were a large family . George and Diana would always be there with Georgie and Robbie. Grate family love... I use to watch lil George and Robbie sometimes they were sooo sweet. My brother broke both his wrists once I remember he was in a pool at our other brother's. Butche's in-laws house . He was holding both hands up over his head so he wouldn't get the casts wet. Well I could go on and on but l will always miss my big brothers..... Love Always Sandy

George was a special guy. I was honored to work with him at Kitchen Kettle Village. George had a great sense of humor, a tremendous work ethic, and was extremely intelligent. He often told me his favorite part of work was the people. This love was authentically felt by everyone he encountered. The world lost a great man. My condolences to the family and especially Diana.

I had the honor and privilege of working with George more recently. His first day I knew how special he was after him telling me he had to come back to work because the dogs wouldn’t stop biting him. I enjoyed spending some time talking with him about his life, especially all the stories of him and his best friend together in their younger days. He was so proud of his sons and grandchildren, especially how smart they all are. There were many days he would leave me with a piece advice for life and made me promise that even when I retire that I would continue to thrive because sitting in a chair time would sneak right on by quicker than you knew. I will miss sitting by him in his little corner with his coffee, listening to all his stories. A good man I was proud to know and has only wished to have gotten to see him in his younger years doing all the things he loved.

Grandpa was the most loving, caring, and funny man. He could make all of us smile and laugh. He never let a conversation end without reminding myself and his other grandchildren how proud he was of us. I will definitely miss him❤️
