Obituary of Anna Mary Smith
Anna Smith, lifelong resident of Dover NJ, passed away peacefully at home on July 27th, surrounded by her children. Anna had a huge heart, fiery spirit, and was ahead of her time in countless ways. She was accepting, understanding, and not afraid to give her honest opinion to anyone. Anna took care of everyone around her and never thought twice about it. She was one of the hardest working women you could ever meet, managing to raise four beautiful daughters while working full time and earning her Master’s Degree in Accounting. Anna retired after over 40 years of Government Service at Picatinny Arsenal, NJ. After her retirement, most of Anna’s time was spent caring for her grandchildren, taking them to the mall, swimming and catching crayfish at Hurd Park. Anna loved playing poker and slot machines. She got her 15 minutes of fame when she was on a billboard for winning a Mustang. Anna left a lasting imprint on this world and will be forever loved and missed by everyone that knew her.
Anna is survived by her daughters, Debbie Smith (husband Scott), Sheela Lopez, Kathy Smith (longtime boyfriend Robert Christie), and Sandy LaBell (husband Joe), her 7 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
