Obituary of Angelica Jane Parigoris
During the afternoon of Wednesday, August 9, 2023, Our Heavenly Father called Angelica Jane Parigoris into His eternal care. She passed away peacefully at home in Lavallette, with her family, as she was sleeping beside her beloved husband. She was born in Morristown on March 28, 1992 at Morristown Medical Center to Monica and Chris.
As a child, Angelica’s love for animals was cultivated early on by her grandmother Barbara who was a member of the Dachshund Rescue Association of North America. Angelica enjoyed playing instruments, creating art and being outside as much as possible. She attended St. Christopher’s grade school in Parsippany, BrooklawnJunior High School, and Parsippany Hills High School. At St. Christopher’s, she had a wonderful time cheerleading and met some lifelong friends.
As an adult Angelica loved painting, rescuing animals, and spending time with her husband, father, family and friends. Angelica had only just been accepted into nursing school at the time of her diagnosis. Despite the tragic circumstances, her sense of humor never left her side.Angelica displayed a ferocious determination and will against all odds. Talented and beautiful both inside and out, she touched the lives of everyone fortunate enough to have known her.
Angelica’s faith in God was strong and it inspired many others who witnessed her attendance at service despite her very poor health. Married to Christopher within Morristown Medical Center on October 20, 2021, Angelica renewed her vows with her family present at St. Pio’schurch in Lavallette, on July 26, 2023.
Angelica was predeceased by her mother Monica Parigoris, her grandmother Barbara Parigoris, her uncle John Parigoris, and her grandfather George Parigoris. She is survived by her husband Christopher Mottola, who filled her life with love and happiness, her father Christopher Parigoris, her grandmother Gaby Barriga, her grandfather Juan Barriga, her aunt Elizabeth Garruto, her uncle Mark Garruto, her cousin Colleen Carey, her cousin Joey Garruto, her aunt Melissa Mohn, her cousin Emily Mohn, her cousin Cramer Mohn, her mother in-law Elizabeth Mottola, and her brother in-law Matthew Mottola.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, August 16, 2023, from 4-8PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. A Funeral Mass will take place on Thursday, August 17, 2023, 9:30AM at St. Christopher's Church 1050 Littleton Road, Parsippany.
. Interment to follow at Brookside Cemetery, Englewood.
