Rich: My mentor - my friend - and the best boss ever!
I am forever grateful that you gave me the chance to enhance my love of dogs by learning the art of training them. You taught me so much! I was privileged to be an eyewitness to your incredible skill working with and training dogs. Your ability to lovingly rehab dogs considered “lost causes” by other trainers and shelters was nothing short of remarkable. I learned from the best. Thank you doesn’t cover my heartfelt respect and gratitude for having you in my life. I will miss you.
Fondly, Lorraine Grub

For no reason other than his humanity, Rich took me under his wing and helped me in ways I could have never expected. In a lifetime there is likely to be only a small handful of people who will play a major role in one's life. Rich was one of those to me. Rich must have seen me as a saveable stray dog. He brought out more potential in me than I knew I had. He did that in ways that used to frustrate me at times and at other times, we were just friends. Thank you Rich for seeing in me what only you could seem to see. I miss you.

Our Dear Friend Rich. We truly loved our friendship we all shared. From Rick's best friend to mine and Rick's best friend back in our wonder years. We were so oblivious to our behaviors as we just went along and had fun in anyway we could. Skipping school, hanging in your room, the partying and something that always brought a laugh. You and your frivolous car buying. Best one to me was the volkswagon. We sure did some baha-ing in the day. Then HS graduation and Rick and I moved to Florida and adult life began. You moved shortly after. You moved into 4th Street Station apartments. You enrolled in Tampa College and we worked full time (Rick still with Duke Energy aka Florida Power, 44 years, yes that long ago Rich). You then adopted HUBCAP!!! He was a great dog and beginning of your expert training. We had fun, the beaches, the clubs, and the new friends we were making. One funny "move in" story of yours I have, is when you thought the maintenance man was taking your nice new beer mugs and dishes. When I had actually been putting them in the dishwasher to clean up after our gatherings. LOL. Once we figured it out we laughed hard. Then became more comical when you filled both reservoirs with regular dish detergent and came home to an apartment full of soap suds. I think we rolled in the suds laughing. So many more stories that bring smiles and laughter to our hearts. Thank you for being our friend and a very very special friend at that. We will be proud to speak of you anytime in conversation. Our memories of our friendship have always been a thought away and will be forever. Unfortunately, no matter how many times our thoughts go to togetherness we often put those times off. We loved you then, we love you now and we will love you forever our friend.

Rich, I meet you at a time on my life that I needed a mentor and direction. Apparently we needed each other at that time. You were trying to get that dog fence company going and needed someone to trust, I needed work and the tools.
You were so relieved to have someone you could trust and allowed you to focus on expanding and marketing. Sitting in your office with a big grin, like a giant in a swivel chair, you could focus on finding the right word to implement and pitch to Innotek. You came up with “Smart”. You saw that a a huge marketing key word and you were right.
Although you thought of your self as some kind of Kung Fu ninja thing, that I thought was hysterical, what you actually were was generous.
Cheryl and I were battling infertility and kept loosing. One day, after we received another round of bad news that was not covered by insurance, I was in the office in obvious despair when you returned to the office with that huge Rich smile and a pile of cash. You just had someone pay you in cash that you had been chasing down for a long time. You saw my pain and asked what was wrong. Another failed round and now we were out of money and unable to do another round for a long time. I may have been crying, but let’s not talk about that.
You asked me how much does it cost. $900, we had been saving and had all of our hopes on that last round. You walked up behind me and I heard a thud on the desk, you dropped an envelope with $900 in front of me. No strings, no expectations of payback, just a gift of generosity. I am eternally grateful.
I still carry with me my employee review that you gave me after a few months of working for you, which read:
Area of employee improvement- and you wrote - John could clone himself.
Becky, you made Rich so happy, he definitely sparkled after he met you. And suddenly living in a house with the constant smell of dying rat was unacceptable. You made him better as I am sure he made you a better person.
I will never forget Rich with the first ever mobile bag phone, he loved technological gizmos. He would take me for ride in his car just to show off how he could call someone from the car! At $0.49 per minute, he kept it a short call. “I’m calling you from my car!” Whoooeee
Till we met again, my friend, you and Yorgie

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
