Mike was an incredible force in railroad history as well as other, unrelated facets of his life, in which he also excelled. For 25+ years, he was the face of the Tri-State Railway Historical Society; when there were active locomotives and Mike was there, all was under control. His editorial and photo enhancement skills were incredible. I knew he had an interest in music, but when I saw him at work as the sound engineer at the Sanctuary Concerts in Chatham Twp, it boggled my mind!
Thank you, Mike, for all you gave to so many who watched you in awe.

Mike was a very caring and kind soul. I was blessed to have known him for many years and he will forever hold a special place in my heart. He was always there to lend a helping hand to me and my family. I will miss his wonderful bear hugs & infectious smile. He always finished what he started and was a very strong & brave person. I know the signals were “green” on his way to Heaven!
Rest In Peace Mike.

Mike was such an amazing person! He graciously welcomed new people into his fold, always teaching and explaining technical details, and didn’t seem to mind naïve questions. We knew him through Tri-State events and the Sanctuary Concerts in Chatham Twp, both of which were better due to his participation. We’ll all miss him greatly, but know that now he is at peace..
Rest in peace, Mike.

God Speed Mike. Mike and I grew up together back in the 1960s. Our families resided next to one another. Although my family moved away in 1969, I remember Mike as a good friend and a decent kid. My prayers go out to him and his family.

Mike was one of the most down to earth, nicer guys I have known within the railroad preservation community. He was an accomplished writer and photographer among many other things. It was a pleasure to have known and volunteered alongside him when I was Secretary of Tri State Railway Historical Society briefly back in the early 2000s. He will be greatly missed!

who we are:
Tuttle Funeral home was designed as a funeral home by funeral home architects and designers. Unllike many funeral homes that were originally old homes and then were converted into funeral homes.
Though it was designed as a funeral home, it still provides the warm comforting feeling of a home, but with more space and an open feeling.
