Obituary of Dennis F Landrigan
Dennis F. Landrigan, 71, passed away on Tuesday, September 5, 2023, at LIVIA Health and Senior Living, East Hanover. He was born on September 1st, 1952 in Jersey City to the late James and Mary Landrigan. He grew up in Hoboken and spent much of his life in the Mile Square, especially at Fiore’s buying his favorite fresh mozzarella.
Dennis proudly served as a Special Education Teacher for nearly 40 years with the Jersey City public school system until his retirement. He also held part-time jobs at various companies, including Red Star Trucking and Lowe’s.
Dennis was vibrant and full of life. He had a wonderful sense of humor, and loved making people laugh with a wild joke. Dennis could talk to any one he met, and he often would. He was an avid photographer, documenting every special occasion, vacation, and everything in between. He loved cooking, and rarely used a recipe. He always enjoyed a good meal with an even better bottle of wine. Dennis was caring and generous to a fault. He put his heart into everything he did. He always supported a school fundraiser and couldn’t resist a Girl Scout cookie sale. Dennis cherished each moment, big or small.
Dennis is survived by his beloved wife Karen Landrigan; his beloved daughter Kelly Landrigan, who was his whole world; his sister Kathleen Landrigan; his sister-in-law Janice Filippone, and many cherished family members and friends. He was lovingly known as “Uncle Dennis” to so many.
