Obituary of Richard James Johnston

Richard James Johnston, 65, Wharton, NJ passed away on September 30, 2023 with his loving family by his side.

Rick was predeceased by his father Harold, mother Regina, brother Thomas and sister Kathleen.

Rick is survived by his loving wife, Sue and children Richard, Jr., Janice Evans (husband Robert) and Krista Gallagher (husband Michael). Brother Robert (Andrea) and grandchildren Lily, Faith and Jacob. Nieces Samantha, Amanda, Natasha and Nephews Daryl, Matthew and Joshua

Rick leaves behind his work family at Uni Kem Chemicals where he began his career as a service technician. He received various promotions up to the level of Vice President of Sales

Rick was also actively involved with his Church, Good Sheperd Lutheran Church. He was a member of the Church counsel and proudly served as the Church treasurer. Rick held a special bond with his church family.

Rick so enjoyed being with family and looked forward to the annual family vacations. He enjoyed traveling and barbequing (especially when it came to his smoker). Rick’s passion was taking out his boat for a day of fishing or heading over to the shooting range.

Rick has left us with the most cherished memories and lots of laughs.

He is now being held in the loving arms of our Lord

Burial to follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery, Chester, NJ
