Obituary of Thomas M Kepler

Thomas “Tom” M. Kepler      Age 63       Byram Township

It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Tom Kepler.  He passed away peacefully at home on Sunday, October 22, 2023 after a two-year battle with ALS .  Born in Dover, most of his early years were spent in Rockaway Township.  He graduated from Morris Hills and later he moved to Byram where he resided for the past 37 years. 

Tom was a dedicated worker who had a 30-year career with Howmet Aerospace. While his children were young, Tom was present in their lives, working midnight shift to ensure his children would always have someone available.

Tom had a passion for collecting.  He loved garage sales, flea markets and the Scranberry Coop. He was an avid fan of Johnny Cash, ACDC, Ozzy Osborne and Led Zeppelin.  He loved NASCAR, camping at Pocono Raceway, but most of all, spending time with his children.

He is survived by his wife of 38 years, Theresa “Terri” Kepler (Riccioli), his son Ryan Kepler and wife Kayla Kepler (Cooperider), his daughters Paige Kepler and Morgan Kepler, his mother Elizabeth M. Kepler, his sister, Lisa M. Kepler, 2 grandchildren Sloane and Tate Kepler, and his extended family.  He is predeceased by his father, Alfred J. Kepler.

Visitation Thursday, October 26, 2023 from 10:00AM -11:30AM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com) followed by a Funeral Service at 11:30AM.  Interment is private at Good Shepherd RC Cemetery, Green Township. In lieu of flowers, donations to Compassionate Care Hospice, Budd Lake or the ALS Foundation would be appreciated.
