Obituary of Virginia Gerety

Virginia Gerety, 94, passed away Saturday, December 2, 2023, at Fallsview Nursing Center, Boonton.  She was born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, to the late Mildred and Walter Ryan.

Virginia worked as a substitute teacher while her children were young.  Later she earned her underwriting certifications before retiring from Crum & Forster in 1985.  Virginia and her husband were avid golfers.  She was a past president of the Newton Country Club.

Virginia was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She was predeceased by her husband, Harry. She is survived by her children, Jane Indacochea and Daniel Gerety, and her grandchildren, Jeffrey and Michelle Indacochea.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, December 12, 2023, from 4:00-8:00PM, at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph (Tuttlefh.com).

A Funeral Mass is scheduled for Wednesday, December 13, 2023 10:00 am at Sacred Heart Church, 8 Richards Ave., Dover, NJ.

  Interment at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
