Obituary of Christina M. Groh
Christina M. Groh, 75, of Randolph, passed away on Sunday, December 3, 2023, at her home. She was a beloved wife, mother and grandmother. Born in Munich, Germany and raised in Newark, NJ. She graduated St. Casimir’s Parochial School, Newark in 1962 and East Side High School in 1966. She then went on to graduate Magna Cum Laude from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
Christina worked for Warner- Lambert / Pfizer / Johnson & Johnson , Morris Plains from 1990-2007. She was a parishioner of St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, Randolph and served as a Eucharistic Minister and was involved in the Prayer Shawl Ministry and Funeral Ministry at the church. She was also a member of the American Sewing Guild and Assumption Bible Study.
She is survived by her husband John; daughter Amy Lynne and her husband Stephen Shewchuck; grandchildren Julian and Lena Podbielski; brother Richard and his wife Diane Kazmirek, nephews Eric and his wife Kerry Kazmirek, Carl and his wife Jessica Kazmirek and Mark and his wife Carrie Kazmirek; great nephews and great nieces Bastian, Ashlynn, Samantha and Kevin, stepchildren Darren J Groh; Tara and her husband Karl Monaco and John C and his wife Carol Groh; Michael J Groh (predeceased); step-grandchildren Christina, Bailey and Venice Shewchuk, Alyssa, Nicole and John Groh, Daniella, Kara & Kristina Groh, Kristie, Jaclyn and KJ Monaco and Caitlyn Groh.
She also leaves behind German cousins Waltraud Finner, Susi and Herbert Bautz, Polish cousins Wieslawa Nowotny and Malgorzata Zieba.
Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 3:00-7:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral Mass will take place on Friday, December 8, 2023, 9:30AM at St. Matthew the Apostle Parish, Randolph. Interment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
