Obituary of Salvatore Rinchiuso
Salvatore Rinchiuso, 68, of Morris Plains, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, December 19, 2023, at Morristown Atlantic Health Hospice after his 11 month battle with cancer. He was born in NYC to the late Ronald and Matilda Rinchiuso.
He grew up in Little Italy until he married Lillian in 1979 and they moved to Tribeca. Throughout his life he held many different positions. After 911, they moved to New Jersey and he became a NJ licensed locksmith. Sal retired almost 10 years ago. He then began to focus on playing pool, following professional pool players, and working with a good friend at Accu-stats as a cameraman for high level tournaments. He had many other hobbies, such as gaming on Xbox late night, riding all his motorized vehicles and played pool religiously with all his friends. Everyone at Rockway Billiards will certainly miss playing pool with Sal, “The Grand Bacazard,” his sense of humor and his prankster ways. He loved his annual Wildwood Crest vacations with all his grandchildren and family. His pool family was very dear to him too.
He is survived by his loving wife, Lillian of 45 years, his daughter, Jessica, her husband Brian Kapral, his grandchildren, Vincent and Mia, his brother-in-law’s Joseph and Michael Emmett, his nieces and nephews, and many loving cousins.
Visitaiton will he held on Friday, December 22, 2023 from 2:00-4:30PM and again from 7:00-9:00PM at Tuttle Funeral Home, Randolph. Funeral Mass will be held on Saturday, December 23, 2023 at 10:30AM At St Joseph-St Thomas, 6097 Amboy Road, Staten Island, NY 10309. Entombment to follow at Resurrection Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
